International Cleanup Day is a yearly worldwide initiative from Project Aware, and is meant to draw attention to the fact that all sorts of trash ends up on our beaches and in the oceans. Especially non-biodegradable items such as plastics, are seriously harmful for the marine environment.

We were in Malapascua Exotic Dive Resort in the Philippines, who got this much trash our of only one dive site.
